South Central native, Vernell Daye also known as “The South Central Pop Star”, began their journey in the music scene by playing guitar behind various rappers and singers in Los Angeles. Despite having wanted to produce instrumentals for local artists, Vernell quickly realized their own voice sounded best for the vibe of music they wanted to create. They released their first single, “Get Fly,” on October 6th of 2020 and “nothing at (all)” on March 30th of 2021, birthing a new pop revolution.
